My series of posters “maze”, combined with the export “exit”, stand in the perspective of the seller and the trafficked, convey their psychological feelings in this tragedy.
My series of posters “maze”, combined with the export “exit”, stand in the perspective of the seller and the trafficked, convey their psychological feelings in this tragedy.
My poster depicts a guitar and its shadow. The guitar looks like falling down in the poster. My idea is that, the guitar represents the victims of human trafficking. The shadow represents the trauma and harm human trafficking brings to people. Human trafficking traumatize those victims, making them live in trauma and harm.
The poster depicts a broken guitar and a lion’s face behind the strings. The guitar and the lion represent the victims of human trafficking. Just like the guitar, victims’ lives are broken. Like the lion, victims of human trafficking are imprisoned. Victims are also angry. Red conveys anger. Besides, red also represents blood, which indicates that victims are harmed by human trafficking.
Not A Commodity
Human trafficking will organs of the body as a a commodity, in the form of commodity price to sell, and around the world in a different and sell a currency, not a commodity posters will be human organs in the body currencies symbols on the price, in order to show the idea is not correct, this illegal activity against human trafficking.
Be careful of the person you trust, be careful, he may be a trafficker.
For my iteration of “Shadows After Dark” to raise awareness on human trafficking, I wanted to focus on the inhumanity of the transporting and selling of people as if they were products you could pick up at the store. I chose to illustrate a girl being trapped in a box as she’s being shipped from one location to another. No human should be trapped and treated in this way.
In the poster , we can see the quote “Another life stolen” creating a falling effect as it moves down to the botton of the poster. Where there is a bird who has lost it’s freedom due to how the wings and feathers are falling apart.Futhermore we can see on the top of the poster birds who have lost their freedom as well and falling. Thus, conveying the loss of freedom.
Human trafficking is a worldwide phenomenon.
The media is continuously raising awareness and concern about it.
So does, through posters, graphic design.
Many people are died every year in human trafficking routes. In the seas, in the deserts, in the mountains, in trucks and containers. This is a global catastrophe.
