“Happy Trafficking” | United States

Human trafficking is like a claw machine that fills with happy hearts and souls. These lovely hearts get picked and became someone’s prize. All the “lucky hearts” being picked and turned into broken hearts. The moment a lucky one being picked, it turns into a dead heart, as it is contaminated and hurt by the darkness. This kind of inhumane behavior should be stopped immediately.

68-Helping hands | Latvia

When in difficult situations, we search for people who can help. But unfortunately there are people who use others’ miseries for gaining wealth, to have pleasure or just to play with others’ lifes for fun. They are in disguise, they pretend to care, they promise big and nice things. The question is – are these hands here helping? If they give pain, then no! If they leave no rights – no! Helping hands are kind, they give shelter and heal wounds. And give freedom. Freedom.

The Red Balloon | United States

My design is focused on a red heart shaped balloon that cast a shadow that resembles the image of a barcode. The heart shaped balloon is a symbol of a free individual, while the casted shadow implies the hidden truth, where the individual is trapped in the market of human trafficking, and is not truly free to live.

FREE | China

The hands in the poster form a bird yearning for freedom, holding a note. The black line is the symbol of money, and the drum sticks cut with the black line representing the bondage, signifying resistance to human trafficking.

Hope | China

I hope that after I have emphasized the consequences of human trafficking and advocated the prevention of human trafficking, I hope that people who have been trafficked will yearn for freedom and colorful life even if they are deep in the quagmire.

hope | United States

The topic of human trafficking can be saddening and serious. This is something I did not want to neglect to portray, but I also wanted to show that there are solutions to this problem. The idea of “hope is what you bring” derives from the song Shadows After Dark, and I interpreted it as people having the ability to bring light to a dark situation. If people choose to reach out and help in any way they can, they can end up helping someone who is in need or those who might come face-to-face with this issue someday.

Find the man who did this | Latvia

On average, girls first become victims of sex trafficking at 13 years old. What terrible and heartbreaking statistics! It should not happen. I wanted to make a poster to draw attention to this – that they are only children! Find these men who did this – the men who sexualised children, who used them, who stole their childhood, who used their misery and weakness.
