In the poster , we can see the quote “Another life stolen” creating a falling effect as it moves down to the botton of the poster. Where there is a bird who has lost it’s freedom due to how the wings and feathers are falling apart.Futhermore we can see on the top of the poster birds who have lost their freedom as well and falling.Thus, conveying the loss of freedom.
Poster creative USES the money element joining together, around a
crying child to express the phenomenon of child trafficking.
For my iteration of “Shadows After Dark” to raise awareness on human trafficking, I wanted to focus on the inhumanity of the transporting and selling of people as if they were products you could pick up at the store. I chose to illustrate a girl being trapped in a box as she’s being shipped from one location to another. No human should be trapped and treated in this way.
The bright and colorful lives are snatched away by the dark shadows of human traffickers. As if one goes out in the dark, the demonic human traffickers will pull them toward the shadow and will never come back.
The poster is combined with an umbrella and a guitar, with a woman’s face and tears under the umbrella, symbolizing the protection of girls and the fight against human trafficking.
A broken mirror and words mean a dangerous situation for those who are being trafficked.
Enlarging the fingerprints into a labyrinth, with a child in the middle, means that finding these missing children is as difficult as finding an unknown destination in a dense labyrinth, and there are too many victims in human trafficking incidents. The child is like a person without a name, just one of the missing persons.
Through labour exploitation, children are kept in cages, confined and desperate by the loss of their freedom,
and begin to yearn for freedom and redemption, thus drawing attention to the social problem of human trafficking.
