The trafficking of children goes against all human rights, and people who traffick children totally ignore those rights. Because of this, I took the U.N.’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights document and used it as paper for origami, ignoring the meaning of the document just like those who traffick children ignore the document’s existence. I chose to fold the paper into shapes of different modes of transportation to connect back to the act of trafficking children.

Personally i was never really aware of this specific issue that is going on in the world so this project helped me look for it and understand the whole meaning. I am actually really sad about what some people get through in their lives especially when it comes to human trafficking. It makes me feel disgusted to be called a human being. I never experienced anything like this but i am positively sure that if i ever face something like this i wouldn’t even hesitate to help people that seek help and that is the reason why i am naming my title as “Break the Silence”.

The work consists of 27,000 dots, each of which represents 1,000 lives. He also used graffiti to write the theme, expressing the appeal to resist trafficking in human beings. The label in the poster also expressed the irony of population labeling.
