The main intention of this lettering is not to spread a violent message, as Bob Marley neither wanted to do that. We just wanted to make a tribute to this great song, and reivindicate all the police abuse, all the politicians abuse all over the world … because of that we don ́t wanted to forget the next phrase of the song, speaking of self defense, that is the only thing they have left for us.
Combine reggae elements with this theme , “Reggae music, Message From Jamaica to the world” Expresses a relaxed and lively feeling, symbolizing the reggae spirit, music, love, freedom and happiness. I also hope that this poster will make more young friends like the art and culture of reggae
I would like to make a happy and colorful poster, because the reggae is happy and colorful for me. My central motif is a crocodile with the instrument of it.
The classical hand sign of peace with the three representative colors of reggae and expressive strokes, as a strong representation of the spirit of the reggae movement: peace, kindness, humanity. Over this hand, Bob Marley’s three little birds are hanging out.
Jamaica, the promise land.
With this work I wanted to reflect several aspects of life on the island that reggae music expresses in its songs, as well as influences, problems and spirituality in culture.
Reggae has spread to many countries across the world that all age can enjoy . Reggae’s music do not restrict in time , In fact listening to rhythm has become a pleasant habit for everyone.
I tried to blend reggae lion with a reggae face to showcase the Jamaican music and give tribute to one of the first reggae idol – Bob Marley.
Also have added a Rastafarian style in the background and a music ring justifying the great Jamaican culture.
I tried to express the positive messages of the great Reggae Music from Jamaica to the World by working in “the current topic”,
with my wish that it should be spread more and more all over the world.
