HUMAN TRAFFICKING | China
Severe slavery, torture and the inevitable tragic fate. Trafficked.

The design compares people to bowling, which is a competitive game that needs to be beaten to complete, like the lives of the trafficked, who use them as playthings for abuse and violence. The “bowling balls” in the poster are battered and bruised, but they dare not fight back, showing the terror and cruelty of the abusers. The theme I want to reflect is not to treat life as a plaything. I hope this poster can reveal the harm of human trafficking and firmly oppose this kind of behavior of human trafficking.

This poster shows a distressed girl crying and barefoot. Behind her is the shadowy outline of a man. The backgound consists of bar-code stripes (with tears) because she is now a commodity to be bought and sold.
With the label of “human trafficking” hanging on her ears, she was helpless and pitiful under the sound of threats and the trample of shoes.
Trafficked women and girls encounter high rates of physical and sexual violence, including homicide and torture, psychological abuse, horrific work and living conditions, and extreme deprivation while in transit. Crusifixion is a metaphor for all this abuse.
Human trafficking, like any product or service, reacts to supply and demand. If living beings were not consumed for labor, sexual explotation or illegal consumption, the rates of this cancer would descend considerably. Just like the plastic that generates garbage, say NO to human trafficking and all that it entails.
My design focus on the children’s trafficking. The design stated that children’s deserves to grow up in a safe and healthy environment, free of abuse.
Also demand people to speak up and take action when they see any abuse.
