Reggae is, perhaps, the music that best interprets life, with all its contradictions and feelings: injustices and magnitudes, peace and anger, emotions and desires. This music, connecting body and mind, conveys profound messages using a unique rhythmic energy. This is the reason why its success has reached remote places and has influenced many musical genres across the globe. I have tried to represent this phenomenon through a vinyl (reggae music) that paints the world with a new energy and that, thanks to its messages, can inspire a deeper global awareness about important issues such as iniquity, love, endurance and human spirit.

In this poster, I tried to emphasize the power of reggae music by combining Bob Marley’s face with a lion as an icon. I used a circle in the bottom part of the poster which has reflected earth as an one world and 2 hand which show one heart. I preferred to select lighter colors along with the three colors of yellow, red and green to add more effect.

One of the messages that Reggae has carried around the world is Love. This wonderful feeling is present in some of the compositions of this musical genre. “One Love” said the big Bob Marley. Each of the squares that are present in this artwork represents the artists that make Jamaican culture great.

A trumpet as one of instruments of reggae music can convey messages of positive energy. New contexts are visualized in the form of clouds as symbol of dreams and hearts as symbols of love and new atmosphere is created by selecting new color mood. The message of the poster is that reggae music touches people’s hearts around the world.
