As the full list of participants was published I suddenly realized how big this thing is, since then I was really anxious to see what the others will come up with. It has been a great experience from start to finish.

Reggae is a strong movement here in Brazil were it also has been mixed with various different music styles such as brazilian-african music, samba, funk, rock and so on.

The portuguese ministry of justice sent to all the prisons an invitation to participate this contest. The directress of the prison of Braga asked me if I was interested in participate. I quickly accepted because I am a teacher of arts and I have goal in this project. I wasn’t interested in Reggae until I’ve heard the Dub effects in “Stir it up” on the radio. These radio waves from the other side of the world made my mind wobble, I was addicted to these cinemascopic sounds. Today everybody can use Dub presets, but even if used clever, these tracks can’t beat the feeling of the early experiments.
